About the Role
As a Pharmacy Resident, you will join a highly motivated team dedicated to providing compassionate, efficient, and quality patient-focused healthcare. This role is designed for a pharmacist seeking advanced training to enhance their professional practice. You will become an integral part of a system where people are at the very heart of our family-centered care model.
In this position, you will provide general clinical pharmacy services, assessing patient status to ensure prescribed medications optimally meet care goals. Your day-to-day involves evaluating medication therapy effectiveness, counseling patients and families, and communicating effectively with physicians, nurses, and the broader healthcare team. You will actively participate in interdisciplinary committees, such as the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives, risk management, and patient safety programs. From managing anticoagulation services and antimicrobial management to supervising pharmacy operations and supporting code teams, you will play a vital role in sustaining the hospital formulary and ensuring rational drug therapy selection.
