LCMC Health is a vibrant community where our people make health happen. While our roots run deep in New Orleans, our mission extends across Louisiana and beyond, dedicated to bringing the best possible care to every person and parish. We put a little more heart and soul into healthcare, celebrating authenticity, originality, equity, inclusion, and a warm "come on in" attitude. This culture of "everyday extraordinary" is built on the belief that all the little extras you bring to work add up to extraordinary results for our patients and families.
As an Audiologist PRN, you will be more than just a clinician; you will be a vital part of a community that values the unique qualities each person brings. You will diagnose and provide aural rehabilitative services to patients demonstrating hearing loss, administering a wide variety of tests to determine hearing levels and prescribe appropriate treatments, including hearing aids and special training. Your role involves coordinating audiometric results with other diagnostic data to assist in the selection and use of suitable hearing aids.
You will deliver clinically appropriate evaluation, therapy, and aural rehabilitative services to patients with hearing and balance problems, guided by the Standards of Clinical Practices Manual. This includes counseling patients, documenting treatment plans, collaborating with physicians, and providing neural telemetry testing in the operating room. Additionally, you will fit and dispense hearing aids, maintain equipment, and ensure the organization's compliance with JCAHO, CARF, ASHA, OSHA, and ADA guidelines.
At LCMC Health, we believe in delivering healthcare with heart and putting a little love into your work. We encourage you to bring your unique perspective, cheerlead ideas and differences, and forget one-size-fits-all care in favor of one-of-a-kind solutions. Whether you are a seasoned professional or just starting, your authenticity and compassion are welcome here.
To ensure a smooth hiring process, please take your time to fully and accurately complete the application for employment. Incomplete applications are often eliminated due to missing information. Please note that applications remain active for 6 months; after that, a new application is required. To expedite the process, proof of citizenship or immigration status will be required to verify your lawful right to work in the United States.
