About the Role
The University of Southern California's Office of Compliance is seeking a Privacy Specialist to support the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of a comprehensive privacy compliance program for the University and its medical enterprise. This role is critical to ensuring adherence to applicable federal, state, and international privacy laws, specifically within the complex higher education and healthcare environments.
Working collaboratively with stakeholders across academic, administrative, and clinical units, the Privacy Specialist identifies and analyzes privacy risks to support the development of mitigation strategies. The position contributes to a culture of privacy, confidentiality, and ethical data stewardship that aligns with USC's mission and values. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter resource, providing consultative guidance on privacy matters and ensuring that privacy considerations are integrated into the design of new technologies, initiatives, and services.
