LPL Financial Holdings Inc. is among the fastest-growing wealth management firms in the U.S. As a leader in the financial advisor-mediated marketplace, LPL supports over 32,000 financial advisors and the wealth management practices of approximately 1,100 financial institutions, servicing and custodying approximately $2.3 trillion in brokerage and advisory assets on behalf of approximately 8 million Americans.
At LPL, independence means that advisors and institution leaders have the freedom to choose the business model, services, and technology resources that allow them to run a thriving business. We take care of our advisors and institutions, so they can take care of their clients. Our unified mission is to provide objective financial guidance through an integrated platform of cutting-edge technology, brokerage, and investment advisor services.
LPL Financial is seeking a Principal Architect to provide architecture leadership for the Account Lifecycle Management (ALM) domain. This role focuses primarily on data architecture, domain modeling, and lifecycle-aligned platform capabilities.
Account Lifecycle Management encompasses the end-to-end management of a client and account relationship—from initial acquisition and onboarding, through active usage and servicing, ongoing monitoring and compliance, retention, and ultimately compliant offboarding. In this position, you will define target-state architectures, guide solution designs, and partner closely with product, engineering, data, and risk stakeholders. Your goal is to ensure ALM capabilities are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned to business outcomes.
You will thrive in a fast-paced environment where creativity and continuous improvement are encouraged. As a strong collaborator, you will help deliver a world-class client experience by translating business and regulatory requirements into clear architectural guidance. Success in this role means establishing shared data models and lifecycle patterns that reduce duplication, improve integration quality, and enable faster, more predictable delivery outcomes.
LPL will only communicate with a job applicant directly from an @lplfinancial.com email address. We will never conduct an interview online or in a chatroom forum. During an interview, LPL will not request any form of payment from the applicant, or information regarding an applicant's bank or credit card.
To apply, please log in or create an account on our careers portal. Principals only. If you have any questions regarding the application process, please contact LPL's Human Resources Solutions Center at (855) 575-6947.
