Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDesign, develop, test, deploy, and maintain complex, scalable backend systems handling massive data volumes
- check_circleImplement and manage sophisticated identity federation solutions using tools like Keycloak
- check_circleDevelop and operate large-scale data ingestion pipelines using technologies like Airflow
- check_circleTake full ownership of technical projects from initial concept through production and iteration
- check_circleDiagnose, debug, and resolve complex technical issues to ensure system reliability and performance
- check_circleBuild and evolve RESTful APIs and backend services to support high query loads
- check_circleEnhance and automate deployment processes using CI/CD practices and Kubernetes
- check_circleModify, extend, and optimize complex open-source software such as Trino
Requirements
- verifiedU.S. Citizenship required
- verified15+ years software engineering experience with Bachelor's (or 13 years with Masters, or 19 years with High School Diploma)
- verifiedProficiency in Java, Python, or Go
- verifiedExperience modifying Trino or similar distributed SQL engines
- verifiedExperience with Kubernetes
- verifiedFamiliarity with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- verifiedExperience with identity federation protocols
- verifiedExperience with CI/CD and deployment automation
- verifiedDesired: Current U.S. Government Security Clearance (Secret or TS)
Nice to Have
Hands-on experience with Keycloak for identity and access management. Experience with workflow management tools like Airflow. Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus. Experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, EC2, KMS, Bedrock). Exposure to or interest in learning other cloud platforms like GCP or Azure.
