The Ride Development Engineering Design Assurance role serves as an all-encompassing position providing technical oversight and guidance to Ride project teams. As Ride engineering experts, you will lead the way regarding process, standardization, and overall design compliance. You will work alongside project teams to provide experience, knowledge, and expertise to help advance our projects, collaborating directly with Executive Ride Development Engineering.
In this capacity, you will serve as a Mechanical Subject Matter Expert within the design review process, ensuring that appropriate engineering standards, methods, and analyses are applied to meet design intent and business imperatives regarding safety, reliability, and efficiency. You will interpret and develop standards and codes utilized by the Ride Engineering organization, advocating for global consistency of solutions while ensuring compliance with both Disney and external standards.

Previous Disney or entertainment experience with advanced industry knowledge. Extensive experience with life safety design/requirements. Experience with prototype, development, and/or innovative products. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Skills: Statics, Dynamics, Kinematics, Stress/strain/fatigue, Machine Design, Weldments, Power Train, Materials, Solid Modeling, Building Information Modeling.
Education: Bachelor's Degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Engineering required; Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
