About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Research Scientist I to serve as an Analytical Project Leader for New Chemical Entities (NCEs) in both drug substance and drug product, spanning preclinical and clinical programs. This role is designed for a highly motivated analytical scientist with a fit-for-purpose mindset and extensive expertise in R&D environments.
The successful candidate will conceive, execute, and communicate novel strategies to achieve project goals and department imperatives within a multi-disciplinary organization. You will manage CMC deliverables relevant to early-phase clinical development and discovery programs, fostering productive collaborations across the global Analytical R&D organization and with cross-functional partners including Discovery, Pre-Clinical Safety, Process Chemistry, Drug Delivery, and Quality Assurance.
Work Environment
This position is based at the AbbVie Bioresearch Center in Worcester, MA. The role requires a hybrid work model, with 50% on-site support at the Worcester location and 50% at the AbbVie Cambridge Crossing site in Cambridge, MA, adjusted according to project needs.
