Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide technical input and peer review to engineering designs and design changes
- check_circleApply manufacturing engineering skills to resolve constraints and improve process and product designs
- check_circleIdentify and resolve constraints across the program
- check_circleDevelop Manufacturing Data Packages including assembly instructions, workflow, routing, labor standards, and tool designs
- check_circleRecommend process and procedural changes to meet cost, efficiency, and quality objectives
- check_circleOffer technical guidance and problem-solving support to factory engineers
- check_circleServe as the manufacturing and producibility authority within the program
- check_circleParticipate in corrective action investigations
- check_circleDesign, control, and improve product producibility through multi-disciplinary team collaboration
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's Degree in STEM
- verifiedMinimum 8 years of relevant experience
- verifiedU.S. citizenship required
- verifiedActive DoD Secret security clearance
- verifiedAbility to obtain ATF clearance
- verifiedExperience in manufacturing production
- verifiedExperience with manufacturing process development or improvement
Nice to Have
Ability to identify, reduce and eliminate cost, quality and schedule constraints through technical engagements along with an innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and keeps pace with advances in technology. Experience with Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE) as well as experience with technical writing and interpreting and improving technical drawings and communicating technical information to different audiences. Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines in a team environment. Experience with MRP systems. Experience with Manufacturing Readiness Assessments. Bachelor's Degrees in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Current DoD security clearance (secret).
