The Principal Interconnection Performance Engineer serves as a technical anchor for the Project Development and Performance Engineering teams, guiding the technical aspects of project development from inception through execution. This role is pivotal in advancing generation projects through the interconnection process, derisking opportunities, and increasing overall project value.
In this fully remote position, you will act as the primary liaison between internal teams—including Project Management, Finance, and Preconstruction—and external stakeholders such as utility providers, ISOs, and engineering consultants. Your day-to-day involves managing the technical lifecycle of solar and BESS projects, ensuring accurate submittals, reviewing engineering data from vendors, and maintaining rigorous quality control on all deliverables. You will also drive continuous improvements in project designs and processes while coordinating complex resources to meet regulatory codes and stakeholder requirements.
While the role is based remotely, it requires a willingness to travel up to 15% of the time for site visits and project coordination. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time.
