About the Team

ISO New England is a mission-driven organization dedicated to ensuring the reliable, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the region's bulk electric system. Our platform group supports real-time Control Room Operations, managing the complex interplay of system demand, weather patterns, and Variable Energy Resources (VER) like wind and solar. We operate 365 days a year, including weekends and holidays, to keep the lights on for New England.

We foster a highly engaged work environment that values inclusion, collaboration, and employee safety. Our team works closely with Operations Management, System Planning, and IT partners to advance forecasting capabilities while maintaining strict operational accuracy and reliability standards.

About the Role

As the Operations Forecasting Supervisor, you will lead a specialized team of Forecasters and Data Scientists in a critical function that directly informs Day-Ahead and Real-Time market operations and energy settlements. This role exists to evolve our forecasting methodologies to address increasing system complexity, ensuring 100% on-time compliance with corporate and operational procedures.

In this position, you will not only manage the production of accurate hourly demand forecasts across multiple horizons but also guide continuous improvements in demand and VER forecasting. You will serve as a bridge between technical data science and operational reality, coaching stakeholders such as System Operators and Energy Analysts to improve accuracy and shift continuity. Your leadership ensures that forecasts used for system security analysis, market clearing, and energy settlement are robust, timely, and reliable.

What We Offer

We provide a stable workplace where your impact truly matters. Our comprehensive benefits package includes competitive compensation with a base salary and performance bonus, enhanced 401(k) with generous employer contributions, and tuition reimbursement. Employees enjoy robust wellness programs, including an onsite gym and free coffee at our onsite café, alongside flexible work hours and a hybrid work environment (4-5 days/week onsite). We also offer distance-based relocation assistance and support through Employee Business Networks.

Hiring Process

Candidates selected for this role will undergo a structured interview process designed to assess technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and cultural fit. The process typically includes an initial screening, followed by in-depth discussions regarding forecasting methodologies and operational scenarios, and concludes with team interviews to ensure alignment with our collaborative culture.

We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the communities we serve.

Note: This employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
