About the Team

GE Vernova is a global energy leader dedicated to advancing a sustainable future. Within our wind energy division, we are committed to delivering high-performance, reliable turbine solutions that power communities worldwide. Our team focuses on the critical structural integrity of wind turbine blades, ensuring they meet the rigorous demands of safety, quality, and long-term performance in diverse operating environments.

About the Role

As a Principal Engineer for Bonding & Joints, you will serve as the technical authority for the primary structural interfaces that integrate wind blades into complete systems. This role is pivotal in defining the technical rigor required to ensure design decisions result in safe, high-quality products that meet customer and regulatory expectations.

You will own the technical underwriting of bonding and joints design concepts, specifications, and defect acceptance criteria across the full product lifecycle. From adhesive and resin-based bonded joints to mechanical interfaces, your expertise will guide the evolution of technology and the resolution of complex field and factory issues. Working closely with the Blades Chief Engineer, you will help set the strategy for design robustness and technology development while actively mentoring the next generation of engineering talent.

This is a senior leadership position that blends deep domain expertise with systems thinking. You will collaborate across Design, Systems, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing organizations to drive continuous improvement and ensure that engineering practices align with both internal requirements and industry standards.

Hiring Process

Candidates selected for this role will undergo a comprehensive interview process designed to assess technical depth, leadership capabilities, and cultural fit. The process typically includes:

  1. Initial Screening: A conversation with a recruiter to discuss background and role alignment.
  2. Technical Deep Dive: An in-depth review of your experience with composite mechanics, bonding technologies, and structural validation.
  3. Leadership & Systems Assessment: Discussions focused on your approach to cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, and team development.
  4. Final Interview: A meeting with senior leadership to discuss strategic vision and team dynamics.

Equal Opportunity & Culture

GE Vernova is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We believe that a diverse workforce drives innovation and better decision-making. Employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, protected veteran status, or other characteristics protected by law.

We are committed to fostering a work environment that supports professional development, challenges employees with meaningful careers, and values the unique perspectives each individual brings to the team. All offers of employment are conditioned upon the successful completion of a drug screen, and we only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this position.
