The Energetics and Propulsion Department is an engineering organization within the Hardware Engineering Directorate, responsible for the full spectrum of warhead, fuzing, and propulsion designs. This includes power systems, ignition, and all weapon initiation safety systems technology.
In this remote role, you will join a team of highly advanced technologists to develop architectures and top-level design concepts for a variety of one-shot devices, such as initiators, gas generators, pyroswitches, and explosive bolts. You will serve as the day-to-day liaison between programs and functional subject matter experts, ensuring technical rigor in the development, testing, and verification of power source batteries and one-shot subsystems. Your work will directly contribute to technology roadmaps and support critical failure analysis and corrective actions to maintain the highest standards of safety and performance.

Advanced degree. Ten (10) or more years of directly related experience in energetic, fuze, or propulsive devices and their applications. Directly related experience in one shots subsystems design, development, and test. Experience in working with and managing suppliers. Supplier collaboration experience and oversight generating specifications and statements of work (SOW). Working knowledge or experience with either missile design or development, production support and integration. Experience with DoD customers and/or associated contractor executives and technical leadership. Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance (Department of Defense).
