Nottoway County Public Schools is seeking a Principal to serve as the instructional leader and administrator for an elementary school. In this 12-month, 240-day role, you will be responsible for the supervision of school programs and the overall administration of the building. Reporting directly to the Division Superintendent, you will ensure high academic achievement for all students by fostering an environment that maximizes learning potential for both students and staff.
As the principal, you will work collaboratively with school and division administrators to align the instructional program with the division's mission, vision, and strategic goals. Your day-to-day impact involves leading efforts to ensure student growth, maintaining a positive school culture conducive to learning, and managing the effective use of school resources, including budget administration and facility maintenance. You will also serve as the primary liaison between the school, families, and the broader community, facilitating strong relationships through open communication and community involvement.
Candidates selected for this position must successfully complete a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal History Investigation, a State Police Criminal History Investigation, and a Child Protective Services (CPS) Investigation, along with a Tuberculosis Screening. Possession of a valid driver's license and a commitment to regular and reliable attendance are essential functions of this role.
