Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to support the Sentinel program. This role offers the chance to assist in the design, configuration, and maintenance of infrastructure and cloud resources necessary to reliably host and support applications through all phases of the software development life cycle.
You will be part of a team that creates and maintains continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, automates infrastructure deployments, and proactively monitors build and deployment systems. The position involves writing scripts to automate software testing and maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and remediating findings from vulnerability scanning. You will also informally mentor other staff in DevOps concepts and work with peers to identify workflows where automation can improve efficiency or reduce costs.
This position is located in Colorado, CO; Huntsville, AL; Manhattan Beach, CA; or Roy, Utah. The standard work schedule is a 9/80, allowing employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field of study. Experience with automation/configuration management using either Ansible, Chef or equivalent. Experience with source code configuration management tools (i.e git). Experience with HashiCorp Packer and Vault. Familiarity with container hardening and SBOM. IAT II certification (e.g. Security + CE) or ability to obtain within 6 months. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues.
