About the Role

As a Preventative Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep of commercial kitchen cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment. This role is critical to ensuring operational continuity for our clients. You will work independently to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and installation issues, utilizing proper hand and power tools to maintain service standards.

Your day involves performing scheduled preventative maintenance, auditing truck stock to ensure necessary parts are available, and completing required paperwork such as work orders and time sheets. You will also communicate repair status updates directly to customers and the branch office. Maintaining your service vehicle, tools, and uniforms in accordance with Heritage standards and a "safety first" mindset is a core part of your daily routine.

Working Conditions

This position involves extensive nightly travel to various work site locations, with possible weekend and daily assignments. The environment can be physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly, and up to 100 lbs frequently. You may occasionally need assistance to move items over 100 lbs. The role includes repeated bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders. You will be exposed to hot grease from fryers and may work in high-temperature environments such as overheated kitchens or on rooftops.
