As a Chiller Mechanic Apprentice, you will step into a dynamic learning environment designed to launch your career in HVAC/R. You will work alongside experienced technicians and engineers to install, maintain, and troubleshoot chiller and HVAC equipment essential to defense operations. This role is not just about performing tasks; it is about mastering diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance under expert mentorship.
Your day-to-day will involve assisting senior mechanics with the commissioning and repair of Navy chiller systems, performing basic maintenance like filter changes and inspections, and supporting complex diagnostics by collecting operating data and checking refrigerant levels. You will learn to interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams while using hand and power tools safely. Beyond the technical skills, you will collaborate with project managers and customer representatives to support project timelines, gaining a holistic view of how our work keeps critical infrastructure running.
