We are seeking a Press Assistant for the Port Authority's Office of Media Relations. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Media Relations, this entry-level role is essential to the day-to-day functioning of the team and offers a unique opportunity to build a career in press, media relations, and communications. The position is based at 4 World Trade Center in Manhattan.
As a member of the Media Relations team, you will operate in a dynamic environment where breaking news events dictate daily priorities. This role requires flexibility, as on-site, on-call, evening, and weekend work may be necessary. While you will be a self-starter, you will also coordinate closely with staff at various levels across the agency to manage media requests, staff events, and administrative duties.

Strong interest in transit, infrastructure, transportation, and urban planning issues and policies. Previous on-the-record experience. Technical competency using Microsoft programs such as SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Teams. Working knowledge of AP style.
