Since 1989, SHI International Corp. has helped organizations change the world through technology. Today, we are a $16 billion global provider of IT solutions and services, with over 17,000 organizations worldwide relying on our concierge approach to solve what's next.
The heartbeat of SHI is our employees—all 7,000 of them. We are proud to be the largest minority- and woman-owned enterprise in the U.S., fostering a culture of continuous professional growth and leadership opportunities. We offer world-class facilities and the technology you need to thrive, whether in our offices or remotely.
As a Pre-Sales Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer, you will serve as a customer-facing security professional bridging the gap between complex technical capabilities and business objectives. This role is designed to provide consultative technical support to both customers and internal sales teams, focusing on designing, positioning, and articulating cybersecurity solutions that align with modern enterprise, hybrid, and cloud environments.
In this position, you will lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer goals and security challenges. You will assess existing architectures to identify gaps and risks, leveraging your expertise in email security environments (such as SEG, API-based protection, and phishing defense) to develop high-level architectures and solution proposals. Your day-to-day involves presenting value propositions to both technical and executive audiences, supporting product demonstrations, and collaborating with technology partners to refine proposed solutions. You will also play a key role in pre-sales proof-of-concept efforts and provide technical enablement to internal sales teams, ensuring a smooth handoff to post-sales delivery.
This is a remote position that may require periodic reporting to our Austin, Texas office based on business needs.
Candidates selected for this role will engage in a structured interview process designed to evaluate technical depth, communication skills, and cultural fit. While specific steps may vary, the process typically includes an initial screening, technical deep-dives, and discussions focused on solution architecture and customer engagement scenarios.
SHI is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status. We are committed to building a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve.
