About the Team

Born in 2017 from the kitchen of Danny Meyer's Union Square Cafe in New York City, Daily Provisions is a growing collection of all-day neighborhood cafes with deep restaurant roots. A beloved neighborhood institution among New Yorkers, the brand has expanded to multiple locations across New York, Jersey City, Boston, and Washington, D.C. Daily Provisions offers a familiar yet elevated menu of classic dishes, including signature crullers, all-day breakfast sandwiches with a runny yolk, and chef-driven salads and dinner dishes like the famous Roast Chicken.

About the Role

As a Prep Cook, you will have a strong passion for food, technique, and an eagerness to learn, with the opportunity to build on your skills and grow as a leader in the kitchen. The ideal candidate is friendly, curious, and devoted to becoming an integral member of a team that values hard work and attention to every detail.

In this role, you will support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality while managing all aspects of kitchen operations. Your day will involve preparing, cooking, and portioning food to the standards taught by Daily Provisions culinary leaders, ensuring mise en place is correctly stored, labeled, and dated. You will maintain kitchen equipment, sharpen knives, and uphold the highest health department standards to keep the kitchen spaces tidy. You will also support the broader team in hospitality and kitchen operations whenever needed, such as during call-outs or catering events.
