The Baylor College of Medicine Advanced Practice Clinician Critical Care Fellowship is designed to provide a robust clinical and didactic learning experience for Acute Care Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. This program extends beyond the traditional primary care focus, aiming to inspire fellows to assimilate the advanced clinical skills necessary to deliver the highest level of patient care for critically ill patients.
The fellowship seeks to develop competency in evidence-based critical care practices while nurturing leadership qualities. Fellows are encouraged to engage in leadership activities at institutional, local, state, and national levels within the discipline.
Fellows will engage in a comprehensive curriculum that includes didactic opportunities, mentoring, professionalism training, and specialized training rotations. The program also features simulation training and elective options to tailor the learning experience. Additionally, fellows will assist with special projects and programs related to the field of study, contributing to the advancement of critical care practices.
