This postdoctoral position joins the Caron Laboratory to investigate the mechanisms governing G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) interactions with receptor activity modifying proteins (RAMPs). The fellow will leverage novel gene targeting approaches alongside state-of-the-art phenotyping methods to explore the effects of quantitative genetic variation in Class B GPCRs and RAMPs.
Building on existing efforts, this role expands the laboratory's scope by introducing complementary in vitro biochemical and pharmacological approaches. The primary objective is to elucidate the receptor mechanisms underlying observed in vivo phenotypes and to identify novel RAMP-GPCR interacting partners.
