The Town of Huntersville Police Department is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team in protecting and serving our community. This position serves as the backbone of our public safety efforts, performing a wide variety of general and support duty police assignments. From patrolling assigned areas to investigating complex crimes, officers work under the immediate supervision of a Police Sergeant or Lieutenant to prevent crime, apprehend offenders, and ensure the safety of residents.

Whether responding to domestic disputes, securing crime scenes, or conducting special events security, the position requires a unique blend of physical endurance, legal knowledge, and community engagement.
We offer competitive compensation packages designed to attract experienced professionals. Sworn law enforcement candidates with 5+ years of experience may receive up to $6,000 in incentives, with additional cash incentives available for less experience, education, and training. Lateral entry starting rates begin at $61,000. For detailed information on pay scales and specific incentive conditions, please contact the Recruiter or review the Huntersville Police Jobs page.
Successful candidates must complete a Basic Law Enforcement Training course approved by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission and possess a valid North Carolina driver's license. The position is subject to emergency callback.
