The UPMC Center for Emergency Medicine is seeking a Full-Time Pilot to support our STAT MedEvac critical care transport system. As a Pilot in Command, you will serve as a vital member of a high-stakes team dedicated to the safe and efficient air transportation of patients in rapidly changing operational environments. You will hold the final authority over the safe operation of assigned aircraft, executing independent judgment to ensure the highest standards of safety and care.
This role is not just about flying; it is about upholding the mission of STAT MedEvac at all times. You will function as a professional development resource and mentor for newly hired pilots, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Your day-to-day involves coordinating with flight followers, managing aircraft airworthiness, and maintaining rigorous compliance with FAA regulations and CEM policies. Whether navigating complex weather or managing crew dynamics, you will be the anchor of safety for every flight.

The schedule consists of (7) 12-hour shifts within a two-week pay period, typically following a 7 days on and 7 days off rotation. This includes rotating day and night shifts. Final pay is based on experience and region.
This position is eligible for a generous Sign-on Bonus of up to $30,000 for a 3-year commitment. We support our pilots with comprehensive benefits, including:

Airline Transport Pilot certificate (not limited to VFR). Experience in helicopter EMS transport system. Four-year degree with aviation applications.
Skills: Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter Certificate, Instrument Rating, Second-Class Medical License, Airline Transport Pilot Certificate, Commercial Pilot License, CPL, Act 34.
Education: Four-year degree with aviation applications preferred.
