About the Team
Join a dynamic Heart & Vascular team within Essentia Health Fargo, part of an Integrated Heart and Vascular System Service Line. The team consists of 14 physicians and 10 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), fostering a collaborative environment where seasoned CT surgeons and PA support work seamlessly together across hospital, clinic, and OR settings.
Essentia Fargo features a state-of-the-art facility with 135 certified beds and a Level II trauma center. The campus includes a 24/7 ICU with round-the-clock intensivist coverage and a dedicated on-site hospitalist team. The clinic and hospital are located in the same building, ensuring smooth transitions between inpatient and outpatient activities. The facility is supported by excellent technical, nursing, and support personnel, creating a positive and friendly work culture.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Thoracic Surgeon to join a thriving practice in a supportive environment. You will engage in a full spectrum of surgical techniques, including open, minimally invasive, and robotic surgery. The role focuses on performing advanced esophageal, mediastinal, pulmonary, and chest wall surgeries with an emphasis on innovative techniques.
You will utilize cutting-edge robotic technology and collaborate closely with an experienced pulmonary team offering lung cancer screening, PFT Lab, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and minimally invasive procedures. The position also provides access to comprehensive oncology services, including Medical and Radiation Oncology, Infusion Services, Genetic Counseling, and Survivorship programs. The role involves a balanced 1:3 call rotation, allowing for a sustainable work-life balance while making a significant impact on patient care.
