About the Team

Join a dynamic, collaborative Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine team at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS). As a primary teaching affiliate of the University of Arizona Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy, our facility is dedicated to serving America's heroes while advancing the careers of its physicians. We are a tertiary care center recognized for excellence, having received the VA's Robert W. Carey Performance Excellence Award. The team is currently expanding, with a new state-of-the-art bed tower construction underway to support our growing specialty services, including interventional cardiology and cardiac and neurosurgery.

About the Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality outpatient and inpatient Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care, including Medical ICU coverage and specialty consults. You will play a vital role in the academic mission by teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and by engaging in clinical excellence, academic scholarship, and quality improvement projects. The role also offers the flexibility to participate in Sleep Medicine for those with interest and training. As a member of this integrated health system, you will have access to VA research time and resources, with strong leadership support for quality improvement and scholarly initiatives.
