About the Team
Sutter Medical Group (SMG) is a vibrant, physician-led, not-for-profit integrated health system serving over 1,600 clinicians across seven counties in Northern California. Embedded within this respected system, Sutter Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes is a comprehensive, clinically focused, and research-driven subspecialty program. We combine the rigor and intellectual engagement of an academic environment with the stability, resources, and lifestyle advantages of a large medical group.
Our practice serves over 25,000 pediatric patients, including 1,500 with diabetes, and is supported by a robust research enterprise with several new system-wide initiatives. We are a nationally recognized innovator in diabetes care, recently winning an Innovation Challenge award. Our multidisciplinary team includes 6 Pediatric Endocrinologists, 3 Advanced Practice Providers, a dedicated Research Coordinator, Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialists, and Registered Dietitians. The team emphasizes shared decision-making, physician-APC dyad leadership, and long-term sustainability.
