About the Opportunity
Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital is supporting recruitment for an interventional radiologist to join the established private practice, Murfreesboro Vascular and Interventional. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated physician to step into a busy, well-respected practice with a strong referral base and access to a robust health system network.
The practice is a comprehensive medical team specializing in minimally invasive endovascular procedures effective for treating a wide range of vascular conditions as well as cancer. Our multi-disciplinary team includes three interventional radiologists dedicated to advancing our care delivery model through innovation and patient-centered care. We are currently expanding our practice and seeking an additional interventional radiologist to help grow our broad range of procedures, which include chemoembolization, cryoablation, TIPS, venous thrombectomy, mesenteric angiography, uterine fibroid embolization, prostate embolization, and stroke thrombectomy, alongside core procedures like biopsies and central lines.

Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital is a 407-bed regional referral center featuring a modern facility built in 2010 and a newly renovated 16 operating room suite. The hospital is centrally located in the fastest-growing county in Tennessee on a beautiful 68-acre campus along the bustling "Medical Center Parkway" corridor, offering convenient access to dining and shopping.
The campus recently completed a $110 million expansion project, which includes the addition of 36 new high-acuity beds, a dedicated parking garage for employees and physicians, 18 new critical care unit beds, six additional NICU bassinets, and 17 new post-surgery bays. The hospital is well known in the community for its women's services and well-established heart surgery program.

The role is based at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital, where the team collaborates closely with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. The practice emphasizes a patient-centered approach, with call responsibilities (weekdays after 5 PM, weekends, and holidays) shared among the team. Weekend film reading is not expected, and outpatient-based lab buy-in is available for interested candidates.
