About the Team

Our Gastroenterology section is part of Essentia Health, a 132-bed tertiary referral center serving a broad regional community. We are currently expanding our team and seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE) Gastroenterologist to join our existing group of two physicians. Our practice operates on a 100% consultative model, where all inpatient GI admissions are managed by our dedicated IM hospitalist service, allowing our Gastroenterologists to focus on specialized care and outpatient excellence.

The facility features a state-of-the-art Digestive Health Center equipped with an advanced endoscopy unit utilizing Olympus 190 scopes with CO2. We are affiliated with the University of North Dakota medical school, offering robust teaching and outreach opportunities. Our outpatient clinic is supported by four NPs/PAs, and we maintain a collaborative environment with a 1:4 call schedule. The practice leverages Provation and Epic software to ensure seamless care coordination.

About the Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to practice in a tort reform state with no malpractice buy-in and no overhead costs. You will join a forward-thinking team performing a full spectrum of endoscopy procedures, with a strong emphasis on advanced endoscopic practices including ERCP and EUS capability. While ERCP is preferred, the role is designed for a physician who thrives in a consultative setting and values work-life balance.
