Trinity Health Medical Group (THMG) is seeking a full-time Gastroenterologist to join our established Trinity Health Grand Rapids Gastroenterology Team. We are a skilled and welcoming group of six dedicated physicians and five advanced practice providers, with plans for continued growth. You will serve as a referral center for Trinity Health West Michigan, providing specialized care across the region. This role offers a truly balanced and sustainable workload, featuring a highly manageable call schedule with coverage anticipated every 8th week. Your typical day will include approximately 14 outpatient procedures, supported by APPs for inpatient consults where the census often averages fewer than 10 patients.
You will practice in modern facilities equipped with Olympus 190 scopes and benefit from access to a high-volume, endoscopy-only ambulatory surgery center (ASC) and a state-of-the-art inpatient endoscopy unit, both conveniently located on the same campus as our office. The team operates an established advanced endoscopy program offering a comprehensive range of techniques in a cutting-edge setting, with MAC anesthesia available for all inpatient and outpatient procedures to enhance patient comfort and efficiency.
Beyond clinical duties, you will collaborate closely with the Lacks Cancer Center and the Cancer Center Network of West Michigan, working alongside surgical oncology, medical oncology, colorectal surgery, and interventional radiology. You will also engage in educational opportunities through resident teaching and mentorship, contributing to the development of future clinicians.
Qualified candidates must be board certified in their specialty or board eligible with a commitment to becoming board certified within five years.
