About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join the team at Martin Army Community Hospital in Fort Benning, GA. This part-time position is designed for a professional who can exercise considerable skill, perception, and independent judgment in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will manage a wide variety of cases, often complicated by indistinct symptoms or overlapping conditions, across a patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric ages.
Ideally, the selected physician will start no later than spring/summer 2026, though immediate availability is welcome. This role is critical for ensuring proper diagnosis, treatment, and referral for patients presenting with life-threatening conditions, from heart attacks and head injuries to complex lacerations and seizures.

Fort Benning is situated in the "Tri-Community," comprising Columbus, GA; Fort Benning, GA; and Phenix City, AL. Columbus, Georgia's second-largest city, offers a vibrant lifestyle centered around the 15-mile Chattahoochee RiverWalk, a scenic trail perfect for biking, jogging, or leisurely strolls.
The area is rich with cultural and historical attractions, including the State Theatre of Georgia, the historic Springer Opera House, and the RiverCenter, which hosts the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and national Broadway tours. History enthusiasts can explore the National Civil War Naval Museum at Port Columbus, the National Infantry Museum, and the Columbus Museum, one of the most advanced facilities in the Southeast. Application Instructions
Candidates must be US Citizens. We are looking for Board Certified emergency physicians or those who are residency-trained with at least four years of emergency room experience. Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians may also be considered if they meet the specific experience requirements. Please note that valid state medical licensure, CPR certification, and board certification or eligibility by ABEM or AOBEM are required.
