About the Role
You will provide essential assistant surgical services within the operating room and other selected medical settings under the direction of a surgeon. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of surgical procedures, from prepping the patient until the completion of the procedure to managing post-operative care, including daily rounds and wound assessments.
Beyond the operating room, you will assist with patient office visits, manage drains, tubes, and catheters, and perform incision closures. The position also involves comprehensive documentation, including charting, summaries, and correspondence for care and billing purposes. You will actively participate in quality assurance, utilization management, and the development of patient education and satisfaction surveys. Additionally, you will contribute to operational assessments aimed at revenue enhancement and efficiency, as well as assisting in the development of operational and capital budgets.
