About the Role

The Correctional Medical Physician serves as the lead physician at the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark, NJ. In this capacity, you will oversee and manage medical program activities in alignment with CFG Health Systems' goals, objectives, and industry standards. The role is designed to ensure high-quality patient care for inmates while acting as a vital liaison between correctional officials, public agencies, and the company.\n Reporting to the Health Services Administrator, you will evaluate clinical programs, supervise staff, and ensure strict compliance with contractual, regulatory, and accreditation standards. This position operates on an evening shift (3-11 PM) and requires the ability to provide 24-hour on-call coverage for nursing staff and detainee care.
