About the Role
Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) play a central role in our mission, providing compassionate and excellent treatment to help patients regain their strength and independence. Based on the 6th floor of Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC, this PRN/Per Diem position offers consistent weekday hours.
You will partner closely with Physical Therapists to implement treatment goals and programs designed to meet patients' long-term needs. Your day will involve assisting with therapeutic interventions such as strengthening, coordination, balance exercises, posture training, endurance and cardiac work, and community re-entry training. You will also guide patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices, ensuring they receive the support necessary for functional recovery.
