About the Role
As a Physical Therapist, you will provide medically prescribed treatment to patients suffering from injuries, deconditioning, or diseases affecting muscles, nerves, joints, and bones. Your primary goal is to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability. You will work as an integral member of rehabilitation treatment teams, collaborating with physicians, staff, consultants, families, and community resources to ensure the effectiveness of care.
In this role, you will evaluate program participants to develop and administer individualized treatment programs, making necessary re-evaluations and adjustments as patients progress. You will also play a key role in the team's growth by serving on rehabilitation teams, attending clinical meetings to discuss treatment strategies, and planning in-service programs for staff. Additionally, you will supervise PTAs and interns, participate in orientation programs for new staff and students, and maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure adherence to accreditation and licensure standards.
