Key Responsibilities
- check_circleCreate a classroom environment conducive to learning and student maturity
- check_circleGuide the learning process and establish clear objectives for lessons and projects
- check_circleEmploy appropriate instructional methods and materials to meet stated objectives
- check_circleDiagnose student learning strengths and weaknesses and seek specialist assistance as needed
- check_circleCounsel with colleagues, students, and parents on a regular basis
- check_circlePlan and supervise assignments for support personnel and school volunteers
- check_circleUse appropriate technology to support teaching and the learning process
- check_circleMaintain accurate records and reports as required by law and district policy
- check_circleSupport school improvement initiatives by participating in school activities and programs
- check_circleRecognize indicators of student distress or abuse and take appropriate action
- check_circlePlan individualized programs of study to meet diverse student needs and interests
- check_circleAssist administration in implementing student life policies and maintaining classroom order
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- verifiedValid Florida teaching certificate
- verifiedMaster's degree preferred
- verifiedExperience managing business/department functions and staff
- verifiedKnowledge of HIPAA, Public Records, Sunshine Law, FERPA
- verifiedExperience with project management tools and methodologies
Nice to Have
Master's degree from an accredited institution. Experience managing business/department functions and staff.
