About the Role
This position performs various laboratory functions to support the department in patient care. You will be the vital link in the patient care process, conducting phlebotomy procedures, processing and receiving specimens, accessioning samples, and distributing them for testing. Your role involves performing and reporting specific test procedures while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Success in this role requires adapting your behavior to the specific patient population. You will demonstrate respect for patient privacy, tailor your introductions and explanations of procedures to individual needs, and communicate clearly and professionally with patients and colleagues at all levels. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve problems effectively are essential as you support departmental goals and objectives.
