The PHL Visitor Center Manager will lead a busy six-month activation at the Philadelphia International Airport, Terminal A-West. This temporary position is critical to greeting millions of travelers during the monumental global tourism events taking place in Philadelphia and across the Commonwealth in 2026. You will manage a Philly-centric gift shop and visitor center, serving as the face of the city for visitors while driving retail sales and operational excellence.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Visitor Services, you will establish procedural standards and ensure all retail operations meet PHL security requirements. Your day-to-day involves collaborating with the PHL Marketplace and Visitor Center teams to maximize visitor services and souvenir sales. You will lead a team of 4-8 Visitor Experience Associates, fostering a welcoming, service-focused culture that reflects the spirit of Philadelphia.
This is a full-time, temporary position running from May 1, 2026, to January 15, 2027. The role requires a flexible schedule to accommodate the airport's operating hours, which span from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily, with potential shifts extending as early as 5:00 AM and as late as 10:00 PM. The schedule includes split shifts, weekends, and most U.S. holidays, as the center is open 363 days per year (closed only on Thanksgiving and Christmas).
The position is on-site at the Philadelphia International Airport. Candidates must be physically capable of standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 lbs, and navigating the terminal environment, including stairs. A valid driver's license with Real ID is required.
