This position serves as a vital support to pharmacists, ensuring the safe and accurate preparation and dispensing of a wide range of patient medications. From sterile products and TPNs to hazardous and ADC medications, the team member plays a critical role in the medication lifecycle, guaranteeing timely delivery to nursing units. The role also involves mentoring new technicians, transporters, and pharmacy interns, fostering a culture of continuous learning and safety.
Candidates must be available for shifts running from 12:30 PM to 12:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with an 8.5-hour daily commitment. The role includes a rotational schedule requiring work every fourth weekend, as well as participation in holiday rotations (one major and one minor holiday).
The team operates under strict adherence to USP 795, 797, and 800 standards, ensuring the highest level of safety in compounding and dispensing unit-dose medications. Daily, weekly, and monthly documentation is maintained in designated record-keeping systems to meet regulatory requirements. The role also involves inspecting storage areas for expired or unusable medications and maintaining the integrity of pharmacy satellites and Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs).
