The Pharmacy Technician Specialist demonstrates a high level of expertise and skill in sterile compounding and cleanroom sterilization procedures. This role exists to lead cleanroom sterilizations across multiple locations in the health care system while ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance. You will compound sterile products under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, provide staff oversight, and maintain clear communication with customers.
In this position, you will lead technician training efforts, identify and execute process improvement opportunities, and contribute to departmental strategic planning. The role requires a blend of technical precision and leadership, as you will manage inventory, troubleshoot vendor issues, and ensure compliance with USP <797> standards. Working hours will rotate between days, evenings, and weekends to support the continuous needs of the health system.
This position qualifies for the Pharmacy Technician Incentive Program, which includes $5,000 in commitment incentives spread over a two-year period. Payments are made after six months, one year, and two years of employment.
