About the Role
This position serves as the clinical and operational anchor of the pharmacy, transforming the traditional transactional model into an interpersonal healthcare experience. You will provide empathetic consulting to patients regarding medication effectiveness, drug interactions, and preventive care, while overseeing the accurate compounding, review, and dispensing of prescriptions in strict adherence to regulatory guidelines.
Beyond clinical duties, you will lead the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow, financial performance, and inventory management. Your day involves mentoring staff, resolving complex patient issues, and collaborating with the Store Manager to expand health and wellness awareness within the local community. You will champion a culture of curiosity and inclusivity, ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to care.

Requirements
- verifiedBS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited educational institution
- verifiedCurrent pharmacist licensure in the states within the district
- verifiedCertified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire
- verifiedAt least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance billing
- verifiedExperience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws
- verifiedSupervisory experience planning, organizing, and directing the work of pharmacy staff
- verifiedAt least 6 months pharmacy experience with Walgreen Co.
- verifiedAn average rating of at least 3.0 on the leadership behaviors on the last performance review if one is on file, and no written disciplinary actions in the last 12 months (Internal candidates only)
