Founded in 1901, Walgreens proudly serves nearly 9 million customers and patients each day across approximately 8,500 stores throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. With a workforce of approximately 220,000 team members, including nearly 90,000 healthcare service providers, we are committed to being the first choice for pharmacy, retail, and health services. Our mission is to build trusted relationships that create healthier futures for customers, patients, team members, and communities.
This position serves as a vital bridge between clinical expertise and patient care, transforming the pharmacy experience from a purely transactional interaction into a personalized, interpersonal healthcare journey. You will provide empathetic consulting services to patients, guiding them on the effective use of medications, drug interactions, and preventive care.
In this role, you will lead the shift toward a more holistic healthcare model by offering clinical services such as immunizations, diagnostic testing, and disease state management. Beyond direct patient care, you will manage the efficiency of the pharmacy workflow, oversee inventory and financial performance, and ensure strict adherence to all regulatory guidelines and company policies. You will also play a key leadership role in fostering a positive team culture, managing staff performance, and driving professional development within the pharmacy department.
Qualified candidates will be considered for this role based on their clinical expertise, leadership capabilities, and alignment with Walgreens' values. The selection process focuses on identifying individuals who can effectively manage pharmacy operations while delivering exceptional patient experiences. Please note that specific internal candidates may be subject to additional performance rating criteria.
