This position serves as the clinical and operational anchor of the pharmacy, transforming the traditional transactional model into an interpersonal healthcare experience. You will provide empathetic consulting services to patients, guiding them on effective medication use, drug interactions, and preventive care. Beyond dispensing, you will lead the delivery of clinical services such as immunizations, diagnostic testing, and disease state management, ensuring every patient interaction fosters trust and wellness.
In this role, you will manage the entire pharmacy workflow, from opening and closing procedures to inventory control and financial performance. You will act as a mentor and leader for your team, overseeing training, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and high standards. By collaborating with the Store Manager and the local medical community, you will drive strategic business opportunities and enhance the pharmacy's presence as a vital health resource in the neighborhood.
Qualified candidates will be considered based on their clinical expertise, leadership capabilities, and alignment with Walgreens' values. The selection process typically involves a review of credentials, followed by interviews focused on operational management and patient care philosophy. Successful candidates must hold a current pharmacist licensure in the state of employment and maintain all required certifications, including immunization credentials.
