As a Publix Pharmacy Associate, you will experience the satisfaction of working for a company passionately devoted to its customers, associates, and the wellness of the communities it serves. What sets our pharmacy departments apart is a genuine patient-centric environment offering clinical services such as immunizations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and much more.
Publix is continually recognized as one of the best places to work in America. With growth potential of up to 50 new pharmacies per year, our "promote from within" culture allows for a rewarding career path into various areas, including retail management, specialty pharmacy, outpatient hospital pharmacy, and corporate or centralized pharmacy operations.
Your passion for health and wellness, combined with our reputation and commitment to excellence, sets Publix apart. We know you want to make a career out of caring, and we want your career to be with Publix Pharmacy. Join the team that pharmacists and patients feel good about.
As a Floating Pharmacist, you will serve as the pharmacist-on-duty, executing strategy and inspiring staff to drive each pharmacy's success. You will set priorities to maximize contribution, executing daily tasks while building rapport with both customers and associates.
Your day will involve providing best-in-class pharmacy service by empowering your staff to offer value through counseling and building personalized relationships. You will promote customer loyalty and lead clinical initiatives to improve health and wellness. In the absence of the pharmacist-in-charge, you will manage team performance, ensuring complex operational activities are met efficiently and that prescription promised times are honored.
You will act as an expert on pharmacy technology systems for both routine and complex prescription processing. Additionally, you will mentor others on best practices to maximize sales and minimize shrink while meeting customer needs. You will proactively advance clinical initiatives, including MTM and immunizations, and maintain a flexible work-week schedule to meet the needs of our customers.
To apply, please ensure you meet the state requirements for immunizing pharmacists or are scheduled to become an immunizer in the next set of training classes. We look for candidates with effective communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to interpret instructions and solve problems, numerical and financial aptitude, and knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory control.
