What sets our pharmacy departments apart is a genuine patient-centric environment offering clinical services such as immunizations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and much more.
Publix is continually recognized as one of the best places to work in America. With growth potential of up to 50 new pharmacies per year, our "promote from within" culture allows for a rewarding career path into various areas, including retail management, specialty pharmacy, outpatient hospital pharmacy, and corporate or centralized pharmacy operations.
Our reputation and commitment to excellence, combined with your passion for health and wellness, set Publix apart. We know you want to make a career out of caring, and we want your career to be with Publix Pharmacy. Join the team that pharmacists and patients feel good about.
In addition to the shared basic responsibilities of all Publix associates, the Assistant Pharmacy Manager is dedicated to the overall success of the pharmacy department. You will serve as the pharmacist-on-duty in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, executing strategy, motivating staff, and setting priorities to maximize contribution.
Your day will involve providing best-in-class service to patients by empowering staff to build personalized relationships and offering pharmacist-led clinical services to improve health and wellness. You will mentor, train, and develop a high-functioning team, tailoring developmental opportunities to meet each individual's needs. As a champion for innovation, you will inspire your team to be accountable for department goals and execute programs effectively.
You will manage department performance, including scheduling and task assignment, to ensure complex operational activities are met efficiently. This includes maintaining a competitive advantage by understanding metrics related to sales and service, making sound business decisions, and managing medication inventory to maximize sales while minimizing shrink. You will also proactively advance clinical initiatives like MTM and immunizations, and participate in local community events to meet unique health and preventative care needs.
We invite you to bring your expertise in pharmacy technology and inventory operations to a team that values continuous improvement. By maintaining a flexible work-week schedule to meet customer needs, you will help us maintain our status as a top employer in the pharmacy sector.
