At our core are more than 14,000 highly talented Electronic Systems employees with the brightest minds in the industry.
The Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) product line within the Precision Strike Business Area is looking for a Technical Director to join our team. Our employees work on the world's most advanced electronics, from detecting threats for F-35 pilots to illuminating the night for soldiers. Drawing strength from our differences, we're innovating for the future. And you can, too.
The Technical Director (TD) serves as the technical leader for the PGSS product line, ensuring technology needs for current and future programs are met. You will leverage cross-functional technology across the business, identify gaps, and develop the strategy and plans to fill them. This role spans the product line portfolio, including Aviation Weapons, Strategic Missiles, and Market Expansion, requiring you to develop cross-product line strategies to meet business objectives.
In this position, you will interact with customers, program leadership, and business development to understand needs and shape future plans. You will champion a technical strategy aligned with market opportunities, define technology and product roadmaps, and support new business campaigns by providing technical leadership for proposal development. Additionally, you will provide technical governance to ensure solutions remain consistent with program objectives and lead technical assessments for high-interest programs.
Our flexible work environment provides you a chance to change the world without giving up your personal life. Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.
This position will be posted for at least 5 calendar days. The posting will remain active until the position is filled or a qualified pool of candidates is identified. We look for a proven technical leader with in-depth domain knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to foster collaboration across the product line and business.
