About the Role
As a Rover pet sitter or dog walker, you provide essential care services for pets in your community. This role allows you to operate independently as a pet care provider, and build your own business as a pet care provider. You manage your own schedules and service rates through the Rover platform, setting your own rates for services such as dog walking, drop-in visits, feeding pets, refilling water, cleaning litter boxes, picking up waste, providing companionship, and overnight pet sitting when requested.
Day in the Life
Your day involves communicating directly with pet owners, sending them updates and photos to keep them connected to their pets while they are away. You have the flexibility to set your own rates and manage your own schedule, allowing you to balance pet care with your personal life.
Earnings and Benefits
Earnings are typically equivalent to $15–$25+ per hour, though workers set their own rates and may earn additional income through tips and holiday bookings. Benefits include flexible scheduling, the ability to set your own rates, customer tips, holiday booking bonuses, and the ability to operate independently as a pet care provider.
