About the Role
As a Rover Pet Sitter or Dog Walker, you provide essential care services to pets in your community. Your role involves a variety of tasks including dog walking, drop-in visits, feeding pets, refilling water, cleaning litter boxes, picking up waste, and providing companionship. You also have the opportunity to offer overnight pet sitting services when requested by pet owners.
How You Work
You operate independently as a pet care provider, managing your own schedules and setting your own service rates through the Rover platform. Communication with pet owners is a key part of the role, involving sending updates and photos to keep them informed about their pets' well-being.
Earnings and Benefits
You have the flexibility to set your own rates, with the potential to earn additional income through tips and holiday bookings. While earnings are typically equivalent to $15–$25+ per hour, the actual amount you earn depends on your rates and booking volume. Benefits include flexible scheduling, the ability to set your own rates, customer tips, and operate independently as a pet care provider.
