Job Description
About the Role
As a Rover pet sitter or dog walker, you provide essential care services to pets in your community. This role allows you to operate independently as a pet care provider, and manage your own business as a pet care professional. You will handle a variety of tasks including dog walking, drop-in visits, feeding pets, refilling water, cleaning litter boxes, picking up waste, and providing companionship. Overnight pet sitting is also available when requested by pet owners.
How It Works
Through the Rover platform, you have full control over your work life. You manage your own schedules and set your own service rates, allowing you to tailor your availability and pricing to your preferences. Communication with pet owners is facilitated through the platform, where you can send updates and photos to keep owners informed about their pets' well-being.
Earnings and Benefits
Your earnings are typically equivalent to $15–$25+ per hour, though workers set their own rates. In addition to your base rates, you may earn additional income through customer tips and holiday booking bonuses. The platform offers benefits such as flexible scheduling, the ability to set your own rates, and the freedom to operate independently.
