Are you ready to play a crucial role in safeguarding our nation's maritime interests? We are seeking a dedicated Personnel Security Specialist to join our team supporting the United States Coast Guard (USCG). In this position, you will provide essential day-to-day support to key security personnel, including the Personnel Security Manager, Special Security Officer (SSO), and Command Security Officer (CSO). Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our security protocols and ensuring the smooth operation of critical security functions within the USCG.
The USCG operates within the guidelines of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) rather than the Department of Defense (DoD). The ideal candidate will have knowledge of both frameworks and be able to operate fluidly between them.
As a Personnel Security Specialist, you will serve as a vital link in our security infrastructure, managing the lifecycle of personnel access and information protection. Your day will involve processing visitor access requests, managing foreign travel and EQIP requests, and maintaining rigorous personnel security records through ISMS. You will coordinate SCI indoctrinations for military personnel and contractors, conduct thorough debriefings for those exiting SCI access, and ensure all individuals understand their ongoing responsibility to protect classified information.
This role requires more than just administrative precision; it demands excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to explain complex security concepts clearly and authoritatively to various levels of personnel. You will interface with SECCEN, maintain document control, and investigate security violations, all while handling sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do. As a valued team member, you will be part of a high-performing group dedicated to our customer's missions and driven by a higher purpose—to ensure the safety of our nation. We foster an environment of trust, valuing the unique contributions every employee brings. You will have the autonomy to take the time you need through a unique flexible time off benefit and access to robust learning resources to make your ambitions a reality.
We are focused on continuous growth, working together to advance our nation's most critical missions and finding opportunities to break new ground in your career and our legacy.
This position is based in Alexandria, VA. The current work schedule is hybrid, requiring three days onsite per week. Please note that full onsite attendance is required during training for the first 60 days. Travel requirements are up to 10% locally.
