About the Role

We are seeking a Personnel Security Processor to support our Department of Energy (DoE) client in Albuquerque, NM. In this role, you will work closely with human resource professionals to manage personnel procedures, guides, and precedents. Your work is critical in maintaining the integrity of security clearance actions and ensuring the continued eligibility of individuals for access authorization.

You will serve as a key liaison, conducting direct contact via phone or email with applicants, incumbents, officials, contractor customers, and members of the security community. Your day-to-day involves processing work in priority order, retrieving specific files from vault storage, and documenting security clearance actions in automated databases. You will screen information to determine required actions and forward details to the appropriate employees or locations. Additionally, you may assist in identifying potential issues, documenting necessary information to mitigate company threats, and making recommendations on job classification and wage rates.

This position requires a high level of tact, discretion, and articulation, as you will handle employee-sensitive material and maintain a range of personal contacts within and outside the organization. You will exercise sound judgment within the scope of your activities, ensuring that even minor errors do not significantly impact clearance-processing actions.
